Welcome to the Lake Champlain Retriever Club website. We are a group of retriever enthusiasts who love to be outdoors with our talented sidekicks. In Vermont, we offer members and new folks opportunities to connect and collaborate with other retriever enthusiasts from our area. LCRC members are the hardworking hosts of licensed AKC and NAHRA retriever events in Vermont.
LCRC is an AKC Member Club, a Member Club of both the National Amateur and National Retriever Clubs, the Master National Retriever Club, and the Master Amateur Retriever Club. LCRC hosts the Licensed NAHRA Field Test in Vermont. We are a member of the Vermont Federation of Dog Clubs.
Our 2017 events are listed below. For a history of these licensed events, we hope you will take a look at our History page. In addition LCRC hosts occasional training days and/or seminars to give members a chance to learn something new or have a practice run before entering a licensed event. These are great opportunities to spend the day with other retriever enthusiasts and learn along the way.
Each year LCRC volunteers conduct working retriever demonstrations in several venues for students, campers and the general public, sometimes in conjunction with the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department.
