Home

Welcome to the Lake Champlain Retriever Club website. We are a group of retriever enthusiasts located in Vermont, New York and nearby states. In Vermont, we offer members an opportunity to connect and collaborate with other retriever enthusiasts from around the region. LCRC members are the hosts of licensed AKC and NAHRA retriever events in the state, and this year we are host club for the National Amateur Retriever Championship in June.

LCRC is an AKC Member Club and a Member Club of the National Amateur Retriever Club, the National Retriever Club, the Master National Retriever Club, and the Master Amateur Retriever Club. We are a member of the Vermont Federation of Dog Clubs.

Events

Our 2017 events are listed below. For a history of these licensed events, we hope you will enjoy our History page. In addition LCRC hosts occasional training days and/or seminars to give members a chance to learn something new or have a practice run before entering a licensed event. These are great opportunities to spend the day with other retriever enthusiasts and learn along the way.

Each year LCRC volunteers conduct working retriever demonstrations in several venues for students, campers and the general public, sometimes in conjunction with the Vermont Department of Fish & Wildlife.
