WELCOME to our 60th year, 2024!

PURPOSE

LCRC is a Vermont 501 (c) (4) nonprofit organization. The purposes of the Lake Champlain Retriever Club are:

  • to stimulate an interest in, and encourage the use of trained retrievers for hunting as a wildfowl conservation tool;
  • to stimulate interest and encourage the members to perfect, by selective breeding, retrievers most suitable for such work;
  • to promote the training of retrievers;
  • to evaluate field performance of retrievers in field trials, hunting tests, and field tests licensed by and conducted under the rules, regulations, and procedures of the American Kennel Club (AKC) and the North American Hunting Retriever Association (NAHRA).

LCRC is a Member Club of the American Kennel Club, The National Amateur and National Retriever Clubs, the Master National Retriever Club, The North American Hunting Retriever Club, and the Vermont Federation of Dog Clubs. We conduct licensed events for the AKC and NAHRA in Vermont.

  1. I was a member of LCRC bake in the 70’s It was an important part of my families life then. my daughter and her dog was gundog of the year. We put on the first NATIONAL AMATURE FIELD TRIAL and I was head of grounds,I would be very interested I coming to some of your event this summer.
